There is so much that can seem overwhelming and confusing in our world. Racism and sexuality are two hot button topics... and recently masks... but you probably haven't noticed. ;) Even Christians can have entirely different viewpoints on these. Confusion is never from God. He keeps things clear and simple. His principles give clarity and are a foundation to build our worldview upon. Every Christian can and should be in agreement with God on everything he clearly tells us in His Word.
Our belief dictates our behaviors. That is why foundations are so important. I love the clarity the Bible brings to my heart and life. God gave His heart on "hot-button" issues of racism and sexuality in the very first chapter of the Bible-Genesis chapter one. "So God created man in his own image, in the image of God created he him; male and female created he them." Genesis 1:27
Human beings are image bearers of God, and He’s the creator of every living. This truth helps us realize how every person is incredibly valuable, cherished and made with purpose.
•We were made by God- not from some cosmic accident.
•We are made male and female.
•We are made in the image of God.
Does this feel over simplified? It shouldn't. This simplicity is how God "rolls." It only gets confusing if we want to do something opposite of His perfect plan.
